Our Work
The services provided by the Office of the University Counsel primarily fall within the following categories:
Government Relations & Legal Advice
Our role is to act as a liaison to government and elected officials as well as track and monitor legislative priorities. We also provide legal consultations on a wide range of issues, including business matters, employment law, and student conduct.
Reviewing & Revising Contracts
Our office routinely reviews and negotiates agreements impacting the University. These contracts can range from the procurement of goods for campus as well as a variety of professional services agreements.
Subpoenas, Lawsuits, and Grievances
Our office manages and responds to litigation, certain claims and grievances, and subpoenas.
